Kitchen Companions and Wise Words

This is a cute scene from long ago.  It reminds me of my brother and I used to do the dishes together and then it was my younger sister and I.  It was my dad, though, who instilled these words of wisdom in me.  Not the same exact words, but the sentiment was the same.
