Thankful Sampler for 2021

 And here is probably the last post for some time, unless I get time to start posting my own designs and/or have the time to re-scan missing parts of patterns that I lost when my computer crashed this March.

  In light of the pandemic this year of 2020, I thought it would be appropriate to end it with a sampler that mentions "and that today we are together," since for billions of people all over the world, being together has not been possible to do safely.

  Hopefully 2021 will see us putting an end to the pandemic for everyone worldwide.

Floral Design for a Blanket

 This is probably going to be the next to last post for at least a few months.  I've just about come to the end of all the patterns in my collection that I had scanned before I put them away safe into storage.  As the paper these are printed on was most often newspaper grade or just a bit better than that and it becomes so brittle that it falls apart just trying to turn pages.

  My computer crashes early this year and although I thought I had backed up all of my files, the means by which I backed up created multiple copies of almost everything.  I take a lot of photos!  And I scan a lot.  Which meant I had to sort through over 40,000 files to find and delete duplicates after the crash.

  And in that process I appear to have accidently deleted some of the scans of the patterns.  For example, some of those really cool detailed Christmas Stockings!  So although I'd love to go through the originals and search for the missing ones, there just isn't going to be much time to do that this coming year.  

  This is a beautiful floral pattern could be used for so many things!

Christmas Ornaments Candy Cane Critters

I think this may be the last of the Christmas ornament themed designs in my collection.  I like the fact that both of them come with two different color palettes.

A Year Of Cross-Stitch - The Middle Months

 These four are the center four of a "year of cross-stitch" of which I had already posted the first four and the last four in 2019.  They can be used for all kinds of things, like Christmas ornaments.

Renaissance Angel

 Isn't this a beautiful Angel!?  It won't be hard to change the numbers.  But maybe to 2021 and not 2020...

Noah's Ark

 This isn't Christmas related either, but it is a beautifully designed version of Noah's Ark for anyone wanting a nice big project for this winter.

  One of the things I love about big designs like these it that numerous elements can be used by themselves for all kinds of small projects.  Like Christmas ornaments!

  I'd like to do the four seasons in the corners.

Welcome Friends and Neighbors

 A quick sideline from all of the Christmas and Holiday patters for this awesome welcome piece.  Which, if you changed up the colors, could very well make a wonderful holiday piece!

Ice Skaters Country Winter Christmas Scene and Ornaments

 This pattern is a great one because you can either do the entire scene or use parts of it to decorate ornaments, napkins, table runners, etc.  Have fun!

Carousel Horse Ornaments

 I love carousels, horses, and ornaments!  All three in one here!  I would really love to have the time to do these, they would also make a great pair to top one of my six foot cross-stitched measuring charts.

Santa Claus Ornament

 This Santa is just a bit different because Santa appears to be leaving with his bag of gifts slung over his shoulder.  An interesting angle one doesn't see in most Santa's.

 Yes, I know!  At first glance one thinks Easter, but no, these are Christmas ornaments 😄

Vintage Detailed Christmas Tree Ornament

 Well it has been quit a while since I had a moment to post to this blog!  Last year I had to suddenly scramble to get a second full time job, then my computer crashed, and the next thing I knew we were all in a pandemic.

So first I had to look and see what was still left to post and was delighted that so much of it is Christmas oriented at the perfect time of year!

A World Of Santas

This is another one of the patterns I would LOVE to have the time to do someday.  I love all the different Santas and the details the designer put into it.  I hope at least a few of you give it a try!
